The SC520 Streetcatcher is the ultimate butterfly scoop for 5 1/8" neck dual carburetor blower setups. It comes with an integrally cast computer machined front, highly polished super quality cast aluminum body with anodized butterflies just like a real injector. With an application specific dual carb base adapter, air filters, carb butterfly linkage, along with stainless fasteners and anodized dummy barrel valve setup for in-line or sideways 'linkage' setups that will operate the butterflies from the popular 'enderle manufactured' dual carb throttle linkage setup commonly used on most every dual sideways carb setups these days (these are the linkage setups use the black arms splined to the shafts) for Holley QFT or Demon Carburetors. The Scoop comes with a Hi-Perf paper filter elements but will accept K&N air filter elements Part No E-3310. To complete the blower hat look For that final touch the SC500 can also be ordered with an optional blower injection 'Enderle' hardline style fuel line setup, or for the early nostalgia style scoops you can order it with a larger Enderle style barrel valve (2"x2") and very early style side entry fuel hoses that were original on the very first Enderle Showerhead Bugcatchers (NOTE: You cannot use a standard type dual feeder with the hardline option). Larger barrel valve is optional on all models.

The SC520D Streetcatcher is the ultimate Dominator butterfly scoop, comes with an integrally cast computer machined front with a choice between Round or Barndoor butterflies and a highly polished super quality cast aluminum body with the butterflies anodized just like a real Enderle injector. With an application specific dual carb 4500 QFX, King Demon, or Holley Dominator base adapter and carb butterfly linkage, stainless fasteners, and anodized dummy barrel valve for a sideways 'linkage' setup that operates the butterflies from the standard 'enderle manufactured' dual carb throttle linkage setup which is commonly used on almost every dual setup these days (these setups use the black arms splined to the shafts). The Garlits SC520D gives the look of a blower fuel injector mounted on top of your dual 4500 Carburetors . The Scoop comes with a base adapter but with no filters because there is no filter seat area because of the large 7 1/4" size necks. For that final touch the SC520D can also be ordered with an optional larger Enderle style barrel valve (2"x2") and of course as with all applications can be ordered with the very early style side entry fuel hoses that were original on the very first Enderle Showerhead Bugcatchers if a nostalgia 1960s Garlits Showerhead or 1970s Garlits Swampcatcher is more suited to your build (Nostalgia Scoops in Round buttterfly only).

If you are using carburetors with a choke horns in-line or sideways you will need to remove the choke horns. Many performance Holley's, Demons and QFT's come with no choke horn direct from the factory Remember don't remove the center threaded boss in the center of the four barrels, the adapters are designed to accommodate these or the thread boss can be lower in the case of carbs that come with no choke horn from the factory, leave them as they are so you don't need to drill deeper or re thread them.
All you need to do is remove the 'choke horn' housing away from each side of the center boss and vent tubes by cutting carefully with a hacksaw, and clean them up with a file or die grinder.
BOWL VENTS
Sideways Mount Setups will fit with no vent modification
Cut the bowl vents (some are integrally cast or some have steel inserted tubes sticking up between the Venturi's at the front and the back of each Carb just inside the 5 1/8" neck diameter). Cut them to an overall height of 7/8" and angle the top about 45 degrees with the tallest part of the angle toward the center of the Carb and the lowest part of the angle toward the bowls.
You will need to remove the front and rear bowls and put rag in the top of the carbs to stop filings going down into the air bleeds etc

The SC520 comes AS ORDERED with 2 1/2" tall performance PAPER AIR FILTER ELEMENTS but the scoop will accept 3" tall
K&N E-3310 (3" tall x 6 1/4" Diameter) filter elements. The SC520 can be ordered with an adjustable base for applications that are not fixed at 8 5/8". The adjustable base adapter setup can accommodate Carb Center to Center spacing's up to 9 3/4" but once you get over about 8 3/4" center to center max you can only run a 2 1/16" tall filter in the front because by moving the front adapter further forward to accommodate the wider center to center you need to allow for the butterflies to open over the top of the
front filter element.

Setup your sideways linkage as per the above photographs.
1 Remove the #27 inside black arm attached to the barrel valve (The Scoop is supplied this way) and keep it as a spare. This arm will be correct if you ever use the scoop on dual inline 4160 carbs, or sell the scoop to someone for this application. If you do this you will need invert the barrel block so that the shaft is near the top, and shorten the link between the barrel block and the butterfly shaft)
2 Replace it with the #25 arm supplied in your sideways linkage and set its position close to the right photograph above, notice when the linkage is set up correctly the top ‘rod end’ will be right up closer to the scoop body.
3 Remove the front existing throttle arm that pulls the throttle on your front Carb off of your existing dual carburetor sideways linkage and slide the #23 arm onto the splined shaft and just onto the un-splined area and locate it approximately as shown in the photograph.
4 Connect the two arms with the ‘rod end/link’ assembly, with the kick in the link facing in for the std barrel valve, and with the kick facing out for the larger barrel valve.
5 IMPORTANT: Make sure the top #25 arm and link connection does not straighten out fully before reaching wide open throttle resulting in the linkage stopping the carburetors from attaining full throttle and, excessively pulling down on the barrel valve which could break the arms.
6 Once you have your linkage arms in the right positions and the throttle fully opening you may have to loosen the set screws on the lower dummy barrel valve arms to position your butterflies to sit slightly ‘out’ at the bottom at idle like a real injector does and to obtain a wide open throttle butterfly position.

To complete that real serious look for your SC520 STREET CATCHER installation, you can order an optional distribution block and Dummy Hardline Setup, giving you that 'Real Trick' Enderle Injector look.
